I just read about 'dry eyes' disease but I need to know why eyes water more than required while reading books. My mother is facing this problem. She had an eye operation long time back maybe at the age of 60 n has lens permanently inserted in her eyes n also has a reading glass separetly. She is 75 now. I took her to eye doc in my area in Kandivali east Mumbai but doc says all old people has this problem cannot be cured as elasticity of the skin gone. Is this true? Pl help

In your question you have mentioned that elasticity of skin has decreased. It causes spill over of tears. You can try giving her tissue paper to just dab the eyes and not wipe them in a donward motion. More can be said only after examining her.
