CKD is a unpleasant consequence of diabetes. Normal creatinine levels in males range from 0.6 to 1.2 mg/dl. A high level of 2 clearly reflects Stage 1 Kidney insufficiency. I would consult your doctor and discuss underlying cause and treatment options for CKD including medications. Certain lifestyle changes can also help lower creatinine levels. This includes; drinking more water, restricting strenuous exercising, and sleeping well.
