Children don't typically have gall stones. Does your daughter have any other underlying condition? What are her symptoms? What does the doctor recommend?

Yes she is having gall stone of 5.5 mm. Doctor suggests surgery, but one doctor has prescribed medicine for 3.5 month after that he will suggest further course of action. Her symptoms are vomiting, pain in upper abdomen, pain in shoulder.

Gallstones in children are rare and mostly occur due to a history of diabetes, obesity, hemolytic anemia or a family history of gallstones. Surgery and medications are the primary form of treatment. Diet plan should include low fat foods and electrolytes for hydration.
