Cancer is not a death sentence. And many people continue to live fulfilling lives after cancer. In our Live Discussion sessions we talk to eminent doctors and brave survivors for tips, vital information and motivation.

In the first of the series on Living Better After Breast Cancer we have with us

  • Director and Breast Cancer Specialist Dr. D.G. Vijay, HCG Cancer Centre, Ahmedabad
  • Breast Cancer Survivor Nandita Muralidhar, Chennai
  • Breast Cancer Survivor Urvi Sabnis - Dave, Ahmedabad

Dr. D.G. Vijay will shed light on the long term risks associated with breast cancer and how you can minimise them.

Nandita and Urvi will share their experiences and what has worked for them.

"In our society, there is a myth that cancer = death or a cancer survivor cannot lead a normal life. I want a loud and clear message to go to the people out there – you can be healthier than ever before."

Inspired by Yuvraj Singh, Urvi Sabnis - Dave has emerged a fearless, compassionate and grateful person.

"There is no rule that says a person who has cancer will die before one who hasn’t. How we deal with life is how our life will be. Stay cheerful, positive, appreciate all the good things happening, and leave the past behind and live in the present. Life is beautiful."

8 years after her first diagnosis of breast cancer, Nandita Muralidhar is alive, fit and happy.
