Private Community Guidelines
- Respect each other. This may be an online venue, but we’re all equals no matter where we share our thoughts and opinions. Please keep the space safe.
- Keep your comments focused and on topic, according to each post. This helps facilitate the best, most productive conversations. If you have bigger ideas, send us an email or give us a ring. We’re happy to hear from you.
- Protect your privacy. You shouldn’t post anything here that you wouldn’t say in public. Protect your privacy and don’t give out personal information such as email addresses, telephone numbers or street addresses. You can also read PatientsEngage privacy policy here.
- Alert moderator - If you come across any post that is offensive or needs escalation please click on ‘Alert Moderator’ option
- Don’t Be hateful. Disagreements can lead to great progress. However, insulting individuals will not be tolerated. Comments that use obscenities, personal insults, ethnic slurs or other disparaging language will be removed.
- We are not responsible for the content of other websites. We cannot control the content of sites that we may link to or sites that may link to us. The inclusion of any link does not imply endorsement by PatientsEngage.
- Do not promote products and medications or alternative therapies in the group discussions. No advertising/spam in external links or promotion of your own business is allowed. Please do not recommend ANY medication. Such posts will be removed.
- Always discuss any medication or supplements with your doctor or healthcare professional.
- No personal, political or religious attacks or discussions. We are a non-political, secular, patient and caregiver centric platform.
- Be supportive of each other. Remember the key mantra is “YouAreNotAlone”
The moderators
Reserve the right to make editorial decisions regarding submitted comments, including but not limited to removal of comments. All comments are being moderated. They will be reviewed and posted as quickly as possible during regular business hours (Mon – Fri 9a – 6p).
Reserve the right to remove you from the community if there is offensive behavior and/or repeated breaking of community rules.

Comments on all new posts are open for 30 days. We close comments on posts after 30 days to help the conversation stay focused and to keep the maintenance in our groups a bit easier.
