A team of 13 international trekkers with chronic diabetes will climb 2,400m to reach the peak of Machu Picchu, walking up to 20km a day, and the youngest of these is from India. Nineteen-year-old Eshaan Shevate of Pune will carry an insulin pump that he wears on his person all the time.
Eshaan said. "This arduous trek will prove that juvenile diabetics are able to live normally with some amount of control over their diet, lifestyle and medication."
