I recently came across a great article that spoke about the importance of sharing caregiving duties among family or siblings. Often, the caregving duties falls upon one sibling or family member, and  this can cause resentment or misunderstandings. It is important to communicate clearly and openly with siblings and other family members about ways to divide up the work (maybe a sibling can come and spend time with a parent over a weekend to give the primary caregiver a break) and make sure one person doesn't burn out.

Any tips from our group on sharing caregiver dutires among siblings or family members? Any success stories or challenges?  Click on the link below for the original article and please share!

Agree completely onthe need to share caregiver duties among family members. My parents are in their eighties and in frail health. My two elder siblings live close tomy parents in chennai while i live overseas. One of my siblings is a doctor and hence bears most of the stress related to my parents condition. However my other sibling spends couple of hours at least almost everyday with my parents to keep them company and in good cheer.i take care of their financial needs and visit them every 3mths
