I am on Ecospirin tablets. Was diagnosed with lacunar infract. Is it advisable to continue this blood thinner forever

Lacunar infarct are eshemic strokes in the deeper parts of the brain. Aspirin is a standard blood thinning drug of treatment to clear any blocks and also control high blood pressure. Besides hypertension, Aspirin also helps prevent further strokes from other risk factors such as Heart diseases, Diabetes, Smoking etc. It would be best to see your Cardiologist and evaluate all your risk factors and medications.
