Query from a caregiver

Does anyone know a counsellor in Ahmedabad who can go to a patient's home. Patient has had a couple of strokes and even though there is no paralysis believes he is paralysed and does not use his limbs and keeps falling. Has had 2-3 falls in the last 10days.

Also refuses to step out to see a doctor or specialist. All examination needs to be done at home

Any ideas would be great

Feedback from someone who has been an Alzheimer's caregiver
"It sounds to me like this person can be at risk for Vascular Dementia which is caused by mini strokes in the brain.
If the person refuses to go to the doctor, they can try to get an exercise-specialist at home. They can use music, establish rapport with the person and encourage them to use their limbs.
In other suggestions, the family can try to have their family doctor come to the home and recommend this person see a specialist. They can say things like, it's for the peace of mind of the family who are only suggesting out of concern. Can say that if it had happened to one of the other family members, they (the person) would want the other person to go the doctor as well. Use similar strategies for communication."
