There may be many reasons for this.
1. Did you drink any beverage before your walk?
2. The body perceives exercise as a form of stress and sometime after strenuous exercise blood sugar may go up.
3. The difference between 154 and 160 is not much. It may be within the margin of variation and we can look at it as no change from fasting sugar

My suggestion would be for you to recheck this a few times and again 2 hours after breakfast and your medications.

Finally fasting glucose of 154 is quite high. what is your HbA1c.
?
Take care

Thank you for the advise. I haven't done HbA1c recently. The target is to bring down to 130. Please suggest diet pattern, considering I m from Rajasthan and vegetarian. Please also suggest if the medication is ok. Amaryl M 1 mg and Cetapin V 0.3 mg

Hi PureSoul, I suggest you return to your doctor to review your medication. Your fasting BGL is quite high. The medication that is used to lower the fasting/morning BGL is the Cetapin V 0.3mg. But you did not mention how many you are taking. It is made up of 2 medications; metformin (usually 500mg) and Voglibose (0.3mg).

Today i took fasting reading and it was 148. Post walk for 30 minutes, the reading came to 137. Presently the medicine is Amaryl M 1 mg, one tablet in morning before breakfast and one tablet of
Cetapin V 0.3 mg at night before dinner. Is it that an ok situation. . . . Should i add some ayurved tablet also as suggested by some people. . . Please guide

What is the correct way to check fasting and PP? ?
1. Should the regular medicine be taken when doing PP Test?
2. Should fasting be done before a exercise nd after exercise?
3. PP should be done 2 hours after staring or finishing meal?
4. What other precautions should be taken?
