Men can get UTI, though less frequently than women. Reasons are manifold. 1. Small Urethra 2. More likelihood of injury to urethral opening 3. Unhygienic vagina/ infection in vagina. Honeymoon cystitis (post coital) a good example of infection in women.
Other factors like kidney infections/ systemic infection are common to both.
