For parents. Vedika Aum pens a beautful poem that captures how we all see and feel for our parents now. The love and care we received from them all our lives, now we return with deep reverence. Bringing life to a full circle and growing up each moment as we become their parents.

How a single day brings many colours. Yesterday was one such day for me.

The bright sunny morning

merging with the rainbow hues

with like minded people

The aquamarine evening so relaxed and blissful ,

signalling all is well in my world

Till, the darkness of the night deepened darkened with pain, stress and fear -

Fear of the small child in me

My inspiration my hero lay in front of me in pain -

a foreboding numbing pain

Which throbbed within yet numbed my being

The tears welled

and were swallowed , absorbed within

Emerging as a strength

I always was aware of

but hoped I wouldn;t have to call on...

And now I need to wear it every moment every day

To hold us all together

As now we are the parent to our parents

And the cycle moves on

Life continues to live

Bringing another sunny day of hope and fortitude

Armoured with loving presence, wishes and prayers

Of the 'One soul' that we all are within
