Saluting Cancer Survivors on World Cancer Day

This World Cancer Day, we asked some of our contributors - survivors, thrivers, warriors and caregivers for their thoughts on motivating those currently coping with cancer.  Here is what they had to share.

I am a breast cancer survivor and I will: rise like a phoenix every time cancer raises its ugly head!

I am an oral cancer survivor and I will: maintain physical & mental health, avoid disorders and lead an active and independent life.

I am finding my way and I will: get stronger each day

I am a counselor for terminally ill cancer patients and I will: raise awareness among the cancer patients fighting the deadly disease, the doctors and nurses, the caregivers, the social workers and the health authorities.

I am trying to serve terminal cancer patients and I will: always hold the  patients in the palm of my hand to make them feel that they are not isolated.
