Most tarts are made from refined flour (maida) and often are loaded with sugar or cheese. Here is a recipe with a difference - good for everyone, especially people with diabetes contributed by Diabetes Awareness and You

Serves:    4

Ingredients for Ragi Veg Tart

Ragi (millet) flour:  100gm
Wheat flour: 2 Tbsp
Mix veg ( tricolour bellpepper, broccoli, Cabbage):  1 ⅟₂cup                     
Green chilli :  1 pc
Onion: 1 small
Coriander seed:  ½ tsp (roasted and crushed)
Turmeric powder:  ¼ tsp
Oil:  1 Tbsp
Salt : as required (moderate)

Cheese/Hung curd

Preparation of Ragi Vegetable Tart :

For ragi tart:

Take a big bowl and put ragi flour, wheat flour, salt and mix well.

Then add oil and mix well.

Add in the water/milk.

Take a tart mould and fill the prepared kneaded ragi. Press it in the mould and it will take the shape of the mould.

Put it in the fridge for an hour.

Now put it in the oven for baking at 180 degrees  for 20 minutes.

For vegetables filling:

Chop all vegetables into small pieces(equal size)

Heat oil in a pan/wok. 

Add onion and green chilli into the oil and saute till onion becomes soft.

Now add in the spices

Add the chopped veggies and cook till it becomes soft.

Now put veggies in the tart and garnish with cheese, or hung curd
