#ADayInTheLifeSeries

Morning

My day starts with Meditation and showing my gratitude to the supreme power, God. I meditate for around 20 minutes in the morning, which not only energizes me but gives me enough strength and positivity to handle the day to day issues. This session is followed by light exercises, which stretch my body as well as lend enough flexibility to my otherwise stiff body with Scleroderma so that my daily life is impacted at a very minimal level

I was in a very bad phase, healthwise, a few years back. Scleroderma had affected my mental strength too. I joined Brahma Kumari Ishwariye Vishwavidayala during that time and did Rajyog Meditation course from there, which changed my life completely. It not only made me physically strong but mentally strong too. A lot of my queries were answered and my emotional blockages were opened in the process.

After finishing my meditation and exercise routine, I start my day on a positive note with a glass of hot water with honey and cinnamon powder. I then start interacting with my team to get updates and plan the day ahead. I work as a Network Marketer with one of the Network Marketing companies.

I get ready to prepare my breakfast, which essentially consists of milk, almonds and corn flakes. And I also, prepare a vegetarian curry or dish for my lunch at the same time. I get ready to attend my meditation class from 12 -1.15 pm. It’s a little far from my home, so instead of walking, I take a rickshaw, which has been ferrying me to this class for a long time now.. I avoid much walking due to Lung Fibrosis, which was caused due to Scleroderma. If I walk much, I start feeling breathless and I lose my energy to even stand properly on my legs. So, I save my energy for my meditation class.

Afternoon

I come back completely charged from my meditation class. I have my lunch, which is essentially homemade and comprises of roti, vegetable, curd, and salad. It is simple, light on the stomach and gives me enough nutrients required for my body. I take rest, for around 1 hour before I embark on my second phase of the day with renewed energy.

I leave the house by 3.30 and come back at 6.30. This is the time essentially spent on my business activities:-

  1. Attending any training programs which might be useful for me in my career enhancements
  2. Providing training to my team members
  3. Meeting my prospective clients
  4. Having few fun moments with my team members if there is any special occasion or any achievement to be celebrated, which we do by relishing Indian snacks like samosa or pakoras, which is really an indulgent activity now.

This is the most energetic part of the day which gives me a sense of achievement and helps me in building my confidence.

Evening

While coming back from office, I sometimes venture into the market area and do the required shopping for personal items or anything required at home. Since walking for long is not possible, try to limit my activity to some selected shops only.

Evenings are relatively free, and I either spend time with my 6-year old nephew or I work on some business prospects. My family and household-helps assist me in doing my other chores, so I am stress-free and I am thankful to them too for all this support.

Dinner time is usually around 9 pm, with a simple home-cooked meal of vegetable, rice or roti depending upon choice. I sleep around 11:30 pm, but not before writing affirmations and thanksgiving note to God, Universe and all the people who helped me throughout the day in leading me an accomplished day.

I know that I am not as fast as other people physically, But I am happy that I am leading a meaningful and satisfying life, to the best of my physical ability. This all has been made possible only after joining Rajyog meditation and my work as a Network Marketer. These both places accepted me as I am, as their own and have always motivated me, inspired me and helped me in leading an Almost Normal Life by increasing my Self Confidence and Emotional Quotient. They also taught me that Positivity, Will power, and Inner strength are more powerful than Science, Physical Fitness and Physical Beauty.
